“Earth Day” Cleanup ~  It wasn’t “light work,” but we are so thankful for the many helpful hands and willing hearts that showed up early Saturday, May 7. A wonderful team of volunteers pitched in to clean up our parish grounds. They raked and scraped, trimmed and swept, mowed the lawn, weeded the St. Charles Hall planters, and hauled enough debris to fill the dumpster. And they met the neighbors, including a cricket team playing on the Dewey Park pitch. All their hard work was not without its reward, as volunteers got to enjoy a lunch featuring grilled hot dogs, salads, homemade cookies, and Tom B’s famous “cowboy beans.”
