We extend our heartfelt congratulations and sincerest “thank you!”s to Sister Barbara Horan who recently celebrated her 65th anniversary as a member of the Congregation of the Sisters of Saint Joseph. Prior to her involvement at Blessed Trinity which began in 2000, Sr. Barbe’s amazing career path has included 25 years as a teacher at Medaille College, eight years in service to her order in an administrative capacity and 20 years as a social worker with People Inc. We are grateful for her lifelong dedication to the work of the Lord, especially her many contributions to this parish community.
Bridget Dick — Music Minister, Organist, Choir Director, & Cantor — has been enriching our way of being church for twenty years …
leading us, week by week, in giving voice to our desires to praise and thank God
devoting countless hours to selecting hymns which complement the Word of God and find their way into our hearts
lifting our spirits with her clear tones of special solos, especially the Easter Exultet
expanding our expression of praise with contemporary hymns and new arrangements of “old favorites”
patiently developing and encouraging choir members to prepare and share a marvelous range of music
bringing us the richness of others’ works through her participation in the Church Musicians’ Guild
Bridget’s long, generous ministry at Blessed Trinity has come to its CODA. She left her positions on the Feast of Corpus Christi, June 6. A parish reception was held in St. Charles Hall after the 10am mass on Sunday, June 6.
On May 27, 2010, The Church Musicians’ Guild of Buffalo hosted a Festival Liturgy and celebration of music ministry. Choir members Vera Andrew, Judy Casassa, Mickey Dick, Sister Claire Edwards, Helen Roddy Gray and Sue Trabert participated in the Liturgy and enjoyed the hospitality of parishioners at Our Lady of Czestochowa Church in North Tonawanda, as well as the musical entertainment provided by strolling musicians Alan Reed and Joe Mankowski.
On May 18, 2010, Members of the Blessed Trinity School Alumni Association gathered to formulate preliminary plans for an All-Class Reunion Picnic held on Saturday, September 11, 2010.
Parishioners Judy Casassa, Luis Clay, Bud & Mickey Dick, Shammy Dunnigan, Sr. Claire Edwards, and Sr. Liz Savage tackled the east and west side flower beds and the raised garden in front of the statue of the Blessed Mother.

Albert J. Young, ’51 (April 30, 1938 – February 23, 2009)
Albert J. (“Al”) Young was an integral part of the alumni committee from its founding in 2005 until shortly before his death in February 2009. Even while undergoing treatments for cancer, Al always wanted to know when the next planning session or mailing was scheduled, and he rarely missed a meeting. Our alumni web page is dedicated to Al.
