We thank everyone who responded to our July questionnaire about the possibility of a 2012 reunion event and have planned accordingly. Our all-class reunion dinner will be held on Saturday evening, October 13, 2012 at Classics Banquet & Conference Center (known locally as Classics V), 2425 Niagara Falls Blvd. in Amherst, New York. The Alumni Mass will be scheduled for Sunday, October 14. For your convenience in planning separate class events, we have not scheduled anything for Friday evening, October 12.
We continue to encourage each of you, particularly members of the anniversary classes, to personally contact members of your graduating classes regarding alumni activities. This will be particularly important as we prepare for our 2012 All Class Reunion Events. We are happy to provide whatever contact information we have for your classmates, but our committee is just too small to organize separate class reunions. To request class information, send an email to Roberta Schmelzer Lukasik at bertababe2 [at] yahoo [dot] com.

ALUMNI FROM THE 1930s THROUGH THE 1970s ATTENDED OCTOBER 2, 2011 ALL-CLASS RECEPTION
The Alumni Committee was delighted with the turnout for our all-class reception following Mass on October 2, 2011. Among those who stopped by were representatives from classes spanning five decades. They included six sets of siblings and a Father-Daughter duo. Clate Steinwachs, representing the Class of 1930, was our oldest alumni in attendance. He was accompanied by his daughter, Ann Steinwachs Manganello, from the Class of ’61. The Class of ’64 had the best turnout, followed by a three-way tie among grads from ’55, ’59 & ’61. And – a very sincere “thank you” to Jerry Powers for organizing this year’s Split Club. Theresa Green and Mary Kathleen Keane were our winners, each taking home $300, and The Alumni also made a $600 donation to the Under This Roof Fund of Blessed Trinity Church from the split club proceeds.

Madonna Hartzell, a life-long parishioner of Blessed Trinity, received The Lay Award of St. Joseph the Worker at a diocesan ceremony which took place during Mass at St. Joseph Cathedral on Sunday, May 15th. She was also among the Award recipients honored at a reception at The Adam’s Mark, which followed the Mass. We congratulate Madonna and thank her for her dedicated and outstanding service to our parish community and to a number of other charitable organizations.
The parish is grateful for “her for many years — and many ways — of setting an example for all with her stewardship.” On behalf of the Blessed Trinity School Alumni, we salute her continued dedication to her parish and thank her for her contributions to our Alumni Committee.
