Opening for Position of Music Director

Blessed Trinity Parish, a diverse and welcoming faith community at home in a Landmark edifice in Buffalo, NY, seeks a motivated musician familiar with the Roman Catholic Liturgy to serve part-time as Director of Music.

Key Responsibilities:

• Plan music appropriate for the liturgical season, including hymns, and Mass and psalm settings, to be sung by congregation and choir at one Sunday service (10am), and additional special services; e.g., Christmas, Holy Week, and Holy Days

• Serve as organist/pianist and cantor

• Rehearse and conduct an established adult volunteer choir at weekly evening rehearsal, Sunday, and special liturgies

• Serve as member of concert committee, which plans and implements the church’s concert series

• Right of first refusal for all weddings and funerals

• Monitor the church’s recently restored Tellers-Kent pipe organ for any needed service
