Saturday, March 22 from 10:30 a.m. to 12 Noon ~ Helping Hands Food Pantry in St. Charles Hall.

Saturday, March 22 at 8:00 p.m. ~ Bingo will be played in St. Charles Hall.

Sunday, March 23 following 10:00 a.m. Mass ~ Ladies Sodality Meeting in St. Charles Hall.

News from our Parish Community  

Lenten Journey Mass on Monday, March 17, will be celebrated at St. Martin de Porres, 555 Northampton Street. Refreshments will be served following the Mass. Click HERE to see the complete schedule of Lenten Journey Masses as well as a schedule of Lenten services at Blessed Trinity.

Lenten Suppers ~ Severe winter weather on Wednesday caused a cancellation of our first Lenten Program. However, we’ll try again this Wednesday, March 19, with a Simple Supper from 5:30-6:30 p.m. in St. Charles Hall. It will be followed at 7:00 p.m. by a presentation by David Zapfel, Executive Director of Gerard Place, on the theme, “Living the Gospel.” Please plan to join us on Wednesday, and click HERE for our complete schedule of Lenten services and programs. 

Rescheduled Meeting ~ The March meeting of the Parish Council has been rescheduled for Wednesday, April 2, at 7:00 p.m. in St. Charles Hall.

Buffalo Choral Arts Society in Concert at Blessed TrinityTickets are now available for the March 30 performance of I Will Sing With the Spirit by the Buffalo Choral Arts Society and guest artists, soprano Karen Saxon and pianist Michelle Thomas. You may obtain a ticket for a donation of $10 by stopping at the rectory or leaving a message for Mickey Dick HERE. Tickets will also be available at the door. Help us promote the concert by posting one of the colorful concert flyers at a local business that maintains a community bulletin board. To obtain one, contact Mickey Dick or stop by the rectory. The 100-plus-member community chorus has been voted Best Vocal Ensemble for the past two years in the Artvoice “Best of Buffalo” contest. Ms. Saxon is a music educator at the Buffalo Academy for Visual and Performing Arts and frequent soprano soloist with the BPO, and Ms. Thomas has brought music to the local community as a pianist, organist and music educator for more than fifty years. “The Word” ~ At March 2/3 Masses, we distributed the special Lenten Issue of The Word. There are extra copies in the ushers’ pew at the mid aisle of the church. We invite you to take copies for parish shut-ins, family members, and friends.

News from our Vicariate Cluster and the Wider Community 

Career Workshop for High School Students on Friday, March 21, from 11:00 a.m. – 2:00 p.m. at Mount Olivet Baptist Church, 701 E. Delavan  Avenue. This workshop is hosted by The Buffalo Employment & Training Center, The Educational Opportunity Center, and the State Department of Labor. For further information, call 856-5627.

Da Bounce ~ Faith Rally for the Young Church – March 21, 6 – 11 p.m. Spend your evening with teens on a faith journey. Keynote speaker Fr. Dave Munoz, OMI, will be speaking on evangelizing in our world today followed by Stations of the Cross, breakout sessions, refreshments and a dance. Just $10. Respite for Women with Cancer ~ A respite for women who have cancer is being held on the weekend of March 21 – 23 at Stella Niagara Retreat Center. The weekend includes opportunities for prayer, relaxation and group sharing. A $10 donation is suggested to cover lodging, meals and resources. Single parents and women with low income will be given preference. The program is sponsored by the Women’s Respite Program, with support from the WNY Affiliate of Susan G.
