Sacred Sites Open House Weekend ~ On the weekend of May 18-19, 2013, Blessed Trinity participated in the New York Landmarks Conservancy’s Third Annual Sacred Sites Open House weekend, joining dozens of houses of worship all over the state in showcasing their landmark buildings. We thank the many volunteers who served as  docents, greeters, sales associates, and general hosts. Once again, you made this event enjoyable and memorable for many Western New Yorkers who were exposed to  Blessed Trinity for the first time, or others who returned after many years. We are especially proud of our newest docents who all took a turn on familiarizing our guests with so many features that make Blessed Trinity unique — not the least of which is its friendly people!

Prayer Partners
~ On Sunday, May 19, we celebrate the end of the Easter season with the Feast of Pentecost, the event of the Holy Spirit coming to the apostles and now to us. Jesus gave us the Holy Spirit to help us in the work of bringing the gift of forgiveness and to bring us peace. Pray the prayer to the Holy Spirit for your prayer partner today: “Come, Holy Spirit, fill the hearts of your faithful. And kindle in them the fire of your love. Send forth your Spirit and they shall be created. And you will renew the face of the earth.”And remember to save the date: Tuesday, June 4, 5:30 p.m. at St. Columba-Brigid. Come and meet your partner at a pot-luck social and enjoy quality time with all the CCCB churches. Please sign up no later than May 26, using the form on the altar railing near Our Lady’s Shrine.
Collection for the Church in Latin America ~ Generous gifts made to our May 18/19 Collection will fund evangelization, formation, and catechesis projects for the Church in Latin America. As young people from around the world prepare to make pilgrimages to Brazil for World Youth Day, the young faithful of Brazil face the hardships of poverty and violence and a lack of priests and trained lay leaders to help them live faith. The support you give today will provide opportunities for years to come. Please support the Church in Latin America and be generous in this special collection.
