New York State Path Through History Weekends 2013
Sunday, June 2 ~ 3:00 p.m.
Saturday, June 8 ~ 2:00 – 4:00 p.m.

In August, 2012, Governor Andrew Cuomo announced the creation of Path Through History Weekends, showcasing New York State’s history and cultural significance. Follow the path to Blessed Trinity on:

Sunday, June 2 at 3:00 p.m.

for a performance by The Arts Academy Choir, under the direction of Frank Scinta. This concert performance, incuding songs in four different languages, will feature spirituals, Broadway show tunes, opera, African folk songs, and music from a variety of religious traditions. Come and be amazed by the talent of these young performers from The Buffalo Academy of Visual and Performing Arts and congratulate them at a post-concert reception. The concert and reception are family-friendly and free of charge, but a free-will offering will be requested.

Saturday, June 8 from 2:00 – 4:00 p.m.

Our friendly docents will once again be available to lead tours of the exterior and interior of the church building, including descriptions of architectural features and explanations of symbolism and artworks. Visitors are encouraged to bring binoculars and cameras. At 3:30 p.m., Western New York historian, Christopher Puchalski, will reflect on The Community that Built Blessed Trinity, retelling the story of the early 20th century immigrant community that constructed and paid for this Landmark structure — brick by brick. The event is free and open to the public.
