Church Tours Showcase Faith, Art, and History
Saturday, May 18: 2:00 – 4:00 p.m.
Sunday, May 19: 12:00 Noon – 2:00 p.m.

On May 18 and 19, 2013, Blessed Trinity will participate in the New York Landmarks Conservancy’s Third Annual Sacred Sites Open House Weekend, and we invite you to experience our house of worship as a repository of faith, art, and history. Click HERE for information on our Landmark edifice and what you can expect if you visit us from 2:00 – 4:00 p.m. on Saturday, May 18, or 12:00 Noon – 2:00 p.m. on Sunday, May 19. Other members of the Buffalo Alliance for Sacred Places will also be participating at the times listed below:

The Buffalo Religious Arts Center, 157 East Street, will open to the public from 1:00 – 3:00 p.m. on both days. Call 716-481-2350 for information.

Docents will greet visitors to the Chapel at Forest Lawn Cemetery, Delaware Avenue and West Delavan Avenue, on Saturday and Sunday from 3:00 – 6:00 p.m.  Additional information at: 716-885-1600.

First Presbyterian Church, One Symphony Circle, will be open for tours from 10:00 a.m. – 2 p.m. on both days. For information, call 716-884-7250, Ext. 11.

Corpus Christi R. C. Church, 199 Clark Street, will be open for tours on Saturday from 12:00 Noon – 2:00  p.m. On Saturday at 11:00 a.m., Henry Swiatek, a specialist in church painting and restoration, will give a presentation in the chapel on the significance of recently restored murals in this space. The chapel is located in the former convent building on Clark Street, to the right the church. Call 716-896-1050 for information.
