Prayer Partners ~ This week pray that your prayer partner may experience the Risen Lord’s peace and joy. Joy is a deep-down gladness that cannot be taken away, even in the midst of sorrow. The Passion and Resurrection of Jesus teach us that suffering is transformed through faith in the Risen Christ. With this faith, we are able to hold on to an enduring sense of joy even in the midst of the sadness we experience from the loss of a loved one, a failure to achieve an important goal, or a setback during recovery from an illness. May our whole church experience this joy!

Canisius Community Day ~ A very sincere “Thank You” goes out to the Canisius College students who volunteered at Blessed Trinity on Saturday, April 20. Fifteen young men and women, all Alpha Kappa Psi Fraternity members, spent the morning completing a general spruce up of our newly-painted bingo hall. The project was made possible through the efforts of Joe Van Volkenberg, head of the Canisius Campus Ministry, and parishioners Bud Dick, Darvan Draper and Dan Korchowsky. Catholic Home Mission Appeal ~ Many dioceses right here in the United States do not have enough priests and trained lay ministers to serve their parishes. These dioceses are known as “home missions.” The Catholic Home Missions Appeal supports these dioceses by funding essential ministries, including seminary education and lay ministry training. Please be generous in this Appeal and help strengthen the Church at home.

Our new class of Blessed Trinity Docents will continue their training
on Saturday, May 4, from 2:30 – 4 p.m.
